ViewPin is built by one person.
There is no forum and no chat server, because a room with four people and no messages since launch says more about a product than silence does. When there are enough of you to make one worth joining, there will be one. Until then, email reaches me directly and gets answered.

What gets built next
ViewPin does one thing, and the plan is to keep it that way. Requests that make pinning better get built; requests that turn ViewPin into a different app politely do not.
Currently on the list:
- Follow a window. Track a source window as it moves, rather than a fixed rectangle of the display. The most-asked-for thing and the hardest to do well.
- Automatic updates. Today new versions are downloaded by hand.
- Pin a specific window directly, without drawing a region.
Deliberately not planned: OCR, AI features, annotation, screen recording, cloud sync, or a workspace manager. Each would make ViewPin worse at the one thing it is for.
Reporting a bug well
The Console’s Activity pane logs what ViewPin has been doing. The last few lines, your macOS version, and whether you use more than one display answer most questions before we have to ask them.
